from Rio de Janeiro to Foz de Iguaçu

The last day in Rio I have spent first with a friend on the Ipanema beach, but just two hours because of incredible strong sun and heat...

Magic II

Afterwards I was sitting three hours in an internet café, uploading pictures... It is not the most interesting way of spending time but at least all pics I have shot are safely downloaded in Warsaw :) thanks, Gosia!
In the evening I went with some frinds from hostel (I will not bespeak your names but it was a very nice and funny group with single representants of Perú, Austria, Equador, Zimbabwe and Argentina) to Lapa, party zone of Rio (party on weekends, yes, and beside weekends, on monday, tuesday, wednesday and thursday). It´s a bit older part of Rio, has many bars and clubs. During the day relatively safe (watch out your bags and cameras), in the evening is full of people. We had a comida a kilo and than we went for a street party... hundreds of people crowding, trinking, smiling, straggling and - the best and the most typical for Brasil - dancing Samba... I have never done it before, I was just shaking to the rhythm, but then just somebody took me for dancing and - it was my first private live lesson of Samba by native speaker :) (however, we did not speak much). I have to admit that it is a very hard job, samba dancing...

All of us went to Lapa with no special or valuably belongings, and money was very well hidden (I will not say where but stored safely). So we were a bit surprised when in the middle of the crowd we saw... a very short Japaneese guy (I think he was Japaneese) (and I know it is a bit subjective opinion) with a very big camera above his head (of caliber like NikonD200 or so, with 20 cm objective). Everybody was gazing at him. And some people on his camera only. I could bet the poor guy was working too much before he left for holidays so he did not manage to read any tourist guide for Rio... Lapa is maybe not definitively so dangerous as favelas but can be a place, where every camera, especially expensive one, surprisingly turns out to be a one way camera - you bring it there but never back... I am just very curious if the guy went home still holding his camera in the hand...

Here are some shots of Lapa from the day before our night trip there.

Around these few steps was a bit too "hot" to have a look around... I didn´t want to turn my camera into a one way one.

Today, on 6th Nov, I took un vuelo to Foz de Iguaçu. I was so happy to see the waterfalls from above shortly before we landed! But still tommorow I go there to see the Cataratas do Iguaçu in more detail. Than I will say ciao to Brasil and go to Argentina to have a really close sight (everybody gets wet) to waterfalls...

Fly with Gol!
A better alternative is a 2h fly from Rio to Foz de Iguaçu than twenty-something hours bus ride...

Yo soy Libra! So far I have understood my plans which I was dreaming of since long time are coming truth.
Could somebody help me with translation?
And here ther are, the Cataratas do Iguaçu (foggy as a window in my plane):
